I'm a Swedish woman who swapped the bustle of London for the wild beauty of the Romanian countryside — and I’ve never looked back. After more than 20 years in the UK, I fell deeply in love with English gardens: the layered borders, the quiet romance, the hum of bees among the blooms. But now, under the hot Romanian sun, I'm building something a little different — a home and garden that blend my past and present, my roots and my dreams.

Here, the kitchen is both hearth and workshop, the garden is a library of edible wisdom, and every season has its own soft rituals. We believe in the old knowledge that lives in hands: how to make broth from bones, soap from ash, dinner from scraps, and joy from very little.

This is a home built on intentional slowness. We return to forgotten habits not out of nostalgia, but because they offer something real: nourishment, presence, and peace.

We dry herbs on strings above the sink. We pickle cucumbers on warm August afternoons. We compost hair, save seeds, and light candles when the sun goes down. We believe in craft over convenience.
